What the week includes

Mogasurf is a surf and kitesurf school founded in Essaouira in 2012 by Ismail Adarzane. Its camp sells one fixed week: seven nights from a Saturday, full board and 12 hours of lessons. The gear is provided: board and wetsuit for surf, kite, harness and helmet for kite. Transfers to the spots and the return trip to Essaouira airport are included.

Surf and kite are two separate weeks at two prices. The surf week costs €550 per person for stays until the end of February 2027, then €790 from March. The kite week goes from €750 to €890. These prices are in euros only (checked on 25 October 2026). The online calendar offers weeks from 7 November 2026 to 6 February 2027, except the two weeks from 19 December to 2 January. Other dates can be typed into the form.

The week also includes a barbecue night, an evening in town and a visit to an argan cooperative of 100 women. Yoga, hammam, horse or camel rides and quad biking are extras, with no published price.

Where the villa is, and how to get there

The camp’s address is “1 DR Ait Yassine, Sidi Kaouki”, and its contact page says “Sidi Kaouki · Moulay Bouzerktoun”. The camp says it is about 10 minutes by road from Essaouira airport. Yet the sample week includes a drive to Sidi Kaouki or Tafedna on day five. We read that as meaning the villa is not on the village beach. It is not on the map, so ask for the exact location before you travel.

Fly in if you can: the airport pick-up is included, and the camp then drives you to the spots each day. There is no stated transfer price from Marrakech or Agadir, so ask before you book. For the road and the beach, see our Sidi Kaouki page.

The camp is two adjoining houses, Villa Sunset and Villa Zephyr, and each has a garden and a pool. Villa Sunset has four rooms for one to three people and sleeps up to 10 guests. Villa Zephyr has three. The week is sold in a shared room, three people at most. A private room is a separate request, with no published price.

Who it suits, and what to know before booking

The camp takes all levels, with no more than four students per instructor. It displays “IKO Certified” and “FFS Certified” labels. We could not read the IKO register, so ask the school for its centre number.

The online calendar covers November, December and January, and the regular rate applies from March. Our page on the wind and the kite schools puts the strong-wind season between April and September. January has only 7.6 days above 15 knots (1991-2020 normals). For kite, on a windless day the session is swapped for another activity or made up later in the week. For surf, missed hours are made up before you leave. Our advice: in winter, take the surf week, or ask how many kite sessions were swapped last winter.

A booking request commits you to nothing. A 20% deposit secures the place, and the balance is paid in cash on arrival, so bring the money with you. The cancellation terms are not online and are given at booking. A discount applies from two people, amount not stated.

To compare what a week costs, our surf and kite camps section gathers the packages we have read, including two other Sidi Kaouki camps, Surf Twins and La Maison des Vagues.
